Amherst NH Garden Club's Annual Plant Sale |
|
The Amherst Garden Club holds its annual plants sale on the day before Mother's Day.
The event is a true "Gardeners Delight!"
This year, the plant sale will be hold on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from
8:30-1:00 at the Wilkins School (80 Boston Post Road) in Amherst. This
is a great place to pick up a plant for Mom or purchase excellent plant
material to enhance your Southern NH property.
The month prior to the sale, Garden Club members dig up perennials,
bushes and ground covers from local gardens and pot them; this assures
species sold will thrive in the NH gardens.
Amhest Garden Club members, many of which are Master Gardeners, will be
on hand to answer questions about gardening in and around your Amherst
NH homes. An information booth will also be there to assist you.
The sale will also include a section of local garden vendors, so you
can pick up vegteble, herb, hanging baskets and annual plants as well.
The Book Table sells gently used garden books and magazines. The food
table will set you up with yummy desserts for the Mothers Day weekend!
The Amhest Garden Club's Annual Plant Sale has become a tradition in
Amherst NH that gardeners all over southern NH attend. Its a wonderful
event and we encourage all to attend.
